Description

These tempura chicken bites are an explosion of flavor and crispiness! The marinade with ginger and soy sauce makes the chicken tender and tasty, while the light and crispy batter creates an irresistible contrast. Perfect as a tasty appetizer or as a second course accompanied by a sweet and sour sauce. The preparation is quick and easy, ideal for an informal dinner with friends or for a Sunday brunch. Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 600 g chicken breast
  • 6 g ginger
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 15 ml soy sauce
  • pepper
  • 80 g 00 flour
  • 80 g cornstarch
  • 1 uova eggs
  • 120 ml water
  • spring onions (the green part)

Preparation (6 steps)

Chicken preparation

Cut the chicken breast into strips of uniform size. Put the strips in a bowl.

Chicken marinade

Grate 6 g of ginger and 1 clove of garlic into the bowl. Add 15 ml of soy sauce and pepper to taste. Mix well and pour the mixture into the bowl with the chicken. Leave to marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Batter preparation

In the clean bowl, sift 80 g of 00 flour and 80 g of cornstarch. Add 1 egg and 120 ml of water. Mix for 20 Sec./Stufe 4 until a smooth batter is obtained.

Immersion of chicken in batter

Pour the marinated chicken strips into the batter and mix well so that each strip is completely covered.

Frying the chicken

Heat plenty of oil in a pan until it reaches a temperature of about 170 °C. Take the chicken strips from the batter with tongs and fry them one by one, so that they do not stick together. Fry until golden brown.

Draining and serving

Drain the chicken bites on absorbent paper to remove excess oil. Serve the tempura chicken with a pinch of salt and the chopped green part of the spring onion to decorate. Serve with your favorite sauce.
