Description

This strawberry base is a real classic and everyone simply loves it! I especially like to make it in spring and summer when the strawberries are fresh and juicy. The base is loose and light, the strawberries are fruity and the glaze provides the perfect shine. A great cake for birthdays, coffee parties or just to enjoy. It can also be prepared well so that it can be served without stress. An absolute must for all strawberry lovers!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 120 g Butter - soft
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 Pck. Vanilla sugar
  • 3 piece Eggs
  • 200 g Flour
  • 0.5 Pck. Baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 500 g Strawberries
  • 1 Pck. Red cake glaze

Preparation (8 steps)

Preheat oven and prepare mold

Preheat the oven to 180°C top/bottom heat. Grease a 28cm fruit base mold with some butter.

Beat butter, sugar and vanilla sugar

Put 120g soft butter, 100g sugar and 1 packet of vanilla sugar into the mixing bowl and beat for 2 min./speed 4 until creamy.

Add eggs

15 sec/Speed 3

Add 3 eggs individually one after the other through the lid opening and stir in for 15 sec./speed 3 each time.

Stir in flour mixture and milk

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 3

Put 200g flour, 1/2 packet baking powder and 1 pinch of salt into the mixing bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of milk and stir in for 30 sec./speed 3. Scrape down from the edge with the spatula and stir for another 10 sec./speed 3.

Bake dough

Pour the dough into the prepared mold and smooth it out. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.

Let base cool

After baking, let the base cool briefly in the mold, then turn it out onto a wire rack and let it cool completely.

Cover with strawberries and prepare cake glaze

Cover the cooled base with 500g strawberries as desired. Prepare 1 packet of cake glaze according to the package instructions.

Distribute cake glaze

Pour the cake glaze evenly over the strawberries and let it set.
