Description

This fried chicken is a crispy delight on the outside and juicy on the inside. The key is in the marinade and the breading. I often prepare it for family or friend gatherings, it is always a success! The recipe is simple, but requires a bit of patience to achieve the perfect cooking point. The result is a tasty and comforting dish, ideal to enjoy at any time of the year. You can accompany it with a fresh salad or some homemade french fries. Give it a try, you'll love it!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 1 piece Whole chicken, disjointed
  • 1 piece Large egg
  • 240 ml Whole milk
  • 240 g Wheat flour
  • to taste Ground black pepper
  • to taste Salt
  • Abundant sunflower oil, for frying

Preparation (5 steps)

Cut the chicken

Cut the whole chicken into wings, thighs and breasts, cutting the latter into two pieces each. If preferred, the chicken pieces can be bought already cut, always with bone and skin. Set aside.

Prepare the egg and milk mixture

Thermomix® Setting

In the Thermomix bowl, add 240 ml of whole milk and 1 large egg. Mix for 10 seconds/Stufe 4.

Prepare the flour mixture

In a separate bowl, mix 240 g of wheat flour with salt and ground black pepper to taste. Set aside.

Bread the chicken

Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Pass each piece first through the egg and milk mixture from the Thermomix and then through the flour. Shake off the excess with a colander and set aside.

Fry the chicken

In a deep frying pan or wide pot, heat abundant sunflower oil to 160°C. Fry the chicken pieces in batches, turning them over from time to time. The breasts will be ready in about 15 minutes, but the rest of the pieces need at least 20 minutes. Leave the pieces on kitchen paper and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
