Description

This Indian chicken curry is a comforting and tasty dish, perfect for autumn or winter evenings. I often prepare it for a dinner with friends, because it is easy to make and always appreciated. The chicken, tender and juicy, is coated in a creamy sauce with coconut milk and Indian spices. Turmeric brings a beautiful golden colour and health benefits. This dish is ideal to accompany basmati rice and some fresh vegetables. A true delight that warms the heart and the taste buds!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 3 c. à s. curry paste
  • 3 piece cloves
  • 1 bâton cinnamon
  • to taste turmeric
  • 3 clove garlic
  • 2 piece onions
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 1 can crushed peeled tomato
  • 1 container stirred yogurt
  • 600 g chicken fillets

Preparation of onions and garlic

Peel and cut the onions in half. Put the onions in the bowl and finely chop for 3 Sec./Level 5. Add the peeled garlic and chop for 3 Sec./Level 7. Scrape the sides of the bowl with the spatula.

Sauté the spices and onions

Add 2 tbsp of oil in the bowl. Add the cloves and the cinnamon stick. Sauté everything for 3 Min./120°C/Level 1.

Add the curry paste

Add the curry paste in the bowl and mix for 2 Min./120°C/Level 1.

Cooking the chicken

Cut the chicken fillets into pieces. In a pan, heat a little oil and brown the pieces of chicken. Set aside.

Add the liquid ingredients

Add the coconut milk, the crushed tomatoes, the yogurt, the turmeric, the salt and the browned chicken in the bowl. Mix gently with the spatula.

Let simmer

Let the curry simmer for 30 Min./95°C/Level 1/Left rotation. Check the consistency of the sauce and extend the cooking if necessary.
