Description

This creamy chicken recipe is a family favorite! I've been making it for years, and it's always a hit. The chicken breasts become incredibly tender in the slow cooker, and the creamy sauce is just divine. It's perfect for a cozy weeknight dinner, especially during the colder months. The combination of the Italian-style dressing and the cream of chicken soup creates a rich and flavorful base. Feel free to add some vegetables like broccoli or peas for extra nutrients. This dish is also great for meal prepping – it reheats beautifully!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 6 piece skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 8 ounce Italian-style salad dressing
  • 10.75 ounce condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 8 ounce cream cheese
  • 0.5 tsp dried basil
  • 0.5 tsp dried thyme
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation (4 steps)

Combine Chicken and Dressing

Place the 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves and 1 (8 ounce) bottle of Italian-style salad dressing into a slow cooker. Cover and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours.

Drain and Shred Chicken

Drain off the juices from the slow cooker. Shred the chicken meat using two forks.

Prepare Cream Sauce

20 sec/Speed 4

In the Thermomix bowl, add 1 (10.75 ounce) can of condensed cream of chicken soup, 1 cup of chicken broth, 1 (8 ounce) package of cream cheese, ½ teaspoon of dried basil, ½ teaspoon of dried thyme, salt and pepper to taste. Mix for 20 Sec./Stufe 4.

Combine Chicken and Sauce

Pour the cream sauce over the shredded chicken in the slow cooker. Cover and continue cooking on Low for 1 hour.
