Description

These crispy chicken morsels are a delicious idea for an aperitif or an informal dinner. Prepared with the Thermomix®, they are very easy to make and are popular with both children and adults. The chicken meat, finely chopped with bread, creamy cheese and a touch of lemon, becomes a soft and tasty mixture. Breaded and fried, these nuggets are irresistible! I often serve them with a yogurt sauce or homemade mayonnaise. Perfect for a birthday party or a buffet.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 300 g chicken breast
  • 60 g sandwich bread
  • 50 ml milk
  • 50 g cream cheese
  • 0.5 piece lemons _the grated peel_
  • thyme
  • fine salt
  • 2 piece eggs
  • type 00 flour
  • breadcrumbs
  • peanut seed oil for frying

Preparation of the chicken mixture

Insert 300 g of chicken breast cut into pieces, 60 g of breadcrumbs, the grated zest of ½ lemon, 50 ml of milk, 50 g of cream cheese, thyme to taste and fine salt to taste into the Thermomix bowl.

Chop and mix the ingredients

20 Sec./Speed 7

Blend everything for 20 Sec. at Speed 7, until a smooth and homogeneous mixture is obtained. Scrape down and repeat for another 10 Sec. at Speed 7 if necessary.

Preparation for breading

Prepare three trays: in one put type 00 flour to taste, in the other 2 eggs beaten with a pinch of salt and in the last breadcrumbs to taste.

Shape and bread the nuggets

Use a teaspoon to shape the nuggets. Pass the portion of mixture in the flour, pressing lightly and giving the classic shape of the nuggets. Pass again in the egg and finally in the breadcrumbs. Continue like this until all the chicken mixture is finished.

Frying the nuggets

Fry the nuggets in abundant hot peanut seed oil in a pan, until golden brown; the ideal temperature that the oil must reach is about 170-180 °C.

Drain and serve

Once the nuggets are cooked, drain them on absorbent paper to remove excess oil. Serve hot.
