Description

This creamy white lasagna with spinach and salmon is a hearty main course, ideal for festive occasions. The combination of fresh spinach, tender salmon and a rich béchamel sauce makes this dish a special treat. With the Thermomix® the béchamel sauce can be prepared easily and quickly. The preparation time is about 60 minutes and is enough for 6 servings.

  • 40 g Butter
  • 500 g Leaf spinach (fresh or frozen)
  • 400 g Salmon fillet
  • 60 g Butter
  • 60 g Flour
  • 700 ml Milk
  • 150 g Grated cheese (e.g. Gouda)
  • 12 Blätter Lasagna sheets
  • nach Geschmack Salt
  • nach Geschmack Pepper
  • nach Geschmack Nutmeg
  • Oil for frying

Chop onion and garlic

Add 1 peeled and quartered onion and 2 cloves of garlic to the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Use the spatula to push everything down from the edge.

Sauté onion and garlic

Add 40 g butter to the mixing bowl with the chopped onions and garlic and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Add and steam spinach

Add 500 g leaf spinach (fresh or frozen, thawed and squeezed out) to the mixing bowl and steam for 5 min./100°C/reverse rotation speed 1.

Season and set aside spinach

Season the steamed spinach with salt, pepper and nutmeg and remove from the mixing bowl and set aside.

Prepare salmon

Cut 400 g salmon fillet into cubes. Fry the salmon in a separate pan with a little oil and season with salt and pepper.

Prepare béchamel

Add 60 g butter to the mixing bowl and melt for 2 min./100°C/speed 1.

Make a roux

Finish the béchamel

Add 700 ml milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg and cook for 8 min./90°C/speed 3. Leave the measuring cup on.

Stir cheese into the béchamel

Add 150 g grated cheese (e.g. Gouda) and stir in for 2 min./60°C/speed 2.

Layer the lasagna

Pour a layer of béchamel sauce into a casserole dish. Spread lasagna sheets, spinach and salmon on top. Cover with béchamel sauce. Repeat this process until all ingredients are used up. Finish with a layer of béchamel sauce and the remaining cheese.

Bake lasagna

Bake the lasagna in a preheated oven at 180°C top/bottom heat for approx. 25 minutes until golden brown.
