Description

This chicken with Riesling and bacon is a comforting and tasty dish, perfect for autumn or winter evenings. I often prepare it for the end of year celebrations, because it is easy to make and always appreciated. The Riesling brings a fruity and slightly acidic touch which goes wonderfully with the chicken and bacon. The fresh cream makes the sauce smooth and delicious. A simple dish, but full of flavours, which warms the heart and soul. Accompany it with steamed potatoes or fresh noodles for a complete and delicious meal.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 1 piece Chicken
  • 200 g Bacon
  • 200 tbsp White onion(s)
  • 30 g Flax
  • 1 bouquet(s) Parsley
  • 10 cl Fresh cream
  • Nutmeg
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation of ingredients

Cut the chicken into medium-sized pieces. Cut the bacon into small dice.

Cooking the bacon and onions

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/Varoma/Speed 1 Varoma

Put the bacon and onions in the Thermomix bowl. Set 5 Min./Varoma/Stufe 1 and brown, stirring with the spatula.

Set aside the bacon and onions

Remove the bacon and onions from the bowl and set aside in a dish.

Brown the chicken in the pan

Brown the chicken pieces in a pan with a little fat for 8 minutes on each side. Salt and pepper.

Adding the bacon and onions

Put the bacon and onions back into the pan with the chicken. Grate a little nutmeg and mix everything well.

Adding the white wine and simmering

Pour the white wine into the pan. Simmer for 2 minutes, then cover the pan and simmer for 30 minutes, turning the chicken pieces halfway through cooking.

Chopping the parsley

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 8

Wash, pat dry and put the parsley in the Thermomix bowl. Finely chop for 3 Sek./Stufe 8.

Adding the fresh cream and final cooking

Gently stir the fresh cream into the pan with the chicken. Cook for 5 minutes over low heat.

Serve and sprinkle with parsley

Transfer the chicken to a heated hollow dish. Sprinkle with chopped parsley.
