Description

This winter spiced red wine from the Thermomix® warms you up on cold days. With organic orange, lemon, red wine and classic spices such as cinnamon and cloves, an aromatic drink is created. The preparation time is 105 minutes, of which 15 minutes are active working time, for approx. 8 servings. Ideal for the festive season or cozy winter evenings. A warming drink for family and friends.

  • 1 Stück Organic Orange
  • 1 Stück Organic Lemon
  • 1 l Red Wine
  • 3 Stange Cinnamon
  • 5 Stück Cloves
  • 3 Stück Cardamom Pods
  • 4 EL Sugar

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare citrus fruits

Wash the orange and lemon with hot water and rub off the zest with a zester. Make sure to only rub off the outer layer, as the white skin can taste bitter.

Heat mulled wine

Put the red wine together with the rubbed citrus zest, the cinnamon sticks, the cloves, the cardamom pods and the sugar into the mixing bowl. Heat the mulled wine for 60 Min./70°C/Stufe 2. Make sure that the mulled wine does not boil.

Let the mulled wine steep

30 min/158°F/Speed 2 70

For a more intense taste, let the mulled wine steep for another 30 Min./70°C/Stufe 2.

Strain mulled wine

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/158°F/Speed 1 70

Strain the mulled wine through a fine sieve into a pot or carafe to remove the spices and peels. If necessary, briefly heat the mulled wine again in the mixing bowl for 2 Min./70°C/Stufe 1.

Serve

Serve the mulled wine hot. Garnish with orange slices if desired.
