Description

This chilled oatmeal is a wonderful start to the day! I often prepare it the night before so that it can be enjoyed directly from the refrigerator in the morning. The combination of oat flakes, milk, goji berries and fresh fruits is simply unbeatable. I especially like the slightly sour note of the oranges, which harmonizes perfectly with the sweetness of the bananas. A quick, healthy and filling breakfast that is also great for a relaxed brunch weekend. If you like, you can add some nuts or seeds.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 400 ml Milk or vegan milk alternative
  • 1 Prise(n) Cinnamon (ground)
  • 2 tbsp Honey (liquid) or agave syrup
  • 250 g Spelt or oat wholemeal flakes
  • 40 g Goji berries (dried)
  • 2 piece Oranges
  • 2 piece Bananas
  • 2 Stiel(e) Mint (fresh)

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare milk mixture

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Add 400 ml milk or vegan milk alternative, 100 ml water, 1 pinch of ground cinnamon and 2 tbsp honey or agave syrup to the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec/speed 3 until the honey or agave syrup has dissolved.

Mix oat flakes and goji berries

Put 250 g spelt or oat wholemeal flakes and 40 g dried goji berries in a bowl. Add the milk mixture from the mixing bowl and mix well.

Let it swell

Cover the mixture and leave to infuse and swell in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight. Stir occasionally.

Prepare fruits

Halve 2 oranges and squeeze out the juice. Peel 2 bananas and cut into slices.

Arrange and Serve

Stir the overnight oats and divide into bowls. Mix banana slices and orange juice and arrange on the overnight oats. Garnish with a few fresh mint leaves and serve immediately.
