Description

This creamy chicken with mushrooms and poblano pepper is a recipe that I often make at home. The combination of tender chicken with the creamy sauce and the spicy touch of the poblano pepper is simply delicious. The mushrooms give it an earthy flavor that complements the rest of the ingredients very well. It is a perfect dish for a family meal or a special dinner. It is prepared in just over an hour and is quite easy to make, so go ahead and try it! You can accompany it with white rice or some crispy garlic croutons. Enjoy!

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 4 pieza Chicken
  • 2 pieza Poblano pepper
  • 2 cup Cooked corn kernels
  • 2 cup Sour cream
  • 200 gramos Mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 pieza Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 2 cup Mushrooms
  • 2 cucharadas soperas Butter
  • 1 cucharada sopera Oil
  • 1 pinch Pepper

Preparation (8 steps)

Cook the chicken

Thermomix® Setting
20 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Place 4 pieces of chicken in the bowl with boiling water. Add ½ piece of onion and 1 clove of garlic. Cook for 20 Min./100°C/Stufe 1. Remove the chicken from the broth and reserve.

Roast and prepare the poblano pepper

Wash 2 pieces of poblano pepper and roast them directly over the fire. Place them inside a plastic bag for 3 minutes to sweat. Peel them, clean them removing seeds and veins, and slice them into thin strips. Reserve.

Chop the onion and garlic

Finely chop the rest of the ½ piece of onion and 1 clove of garlic. Reserve.

Sauté the onion and garlic

Add 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 tablespoon of oil to the bowl. Program 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1. Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté for 5 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Add corn, pepper and mushrooms

Thermomix® Setting
8 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add 2 cups of cooked corn kernels, the poblano pepper strips and 2 cups of clean and sliced mushrooms to the bowl. Cook for 8 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Prepare the sauce

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 5

Add 2 cups of sour cream and 200 grams of mozzarella cheese to the bowl. Program 30 Sek./Stufe 5 to obtain a homogeneous sauce.

Integrate the sauce and the chicken

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/194°F/Speed 1 90 Reverse

Add the sauce to the bowl with the vegetables. Cook for 3 Min./90°C/Stufe 1. Add the cooked chicken pieces and mix gently with the spatula.

Serve

Serve the creamed chicken with mushrooms and hot poblano pepper. Accompany with white rice or garlic croutons.
