Description

I love making these fried pineapple rings as a quick and delicious dessert. The combination of the warm, slightly tart pineapple and the crispy batter is simply irresistible. They taste especially good when served warm, dusted with a little icing sugar. The recipe is super simple and quick to make, perfect if you spontaneously fancy something sweet. The pineapple rings are a great snack in between meals or as a sweet ending after a light meal. Be sure to try it!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 120 g Wheat flour Type 405
  • 150 ml Milk
  • 20 g Sugar
  • 2 piece Eggs (size M)
  • 1 piece Pineapple
  • 500 ml Sunflower oil
  • 50 g Icing sugar

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

Put 120 g wheat flour type 405, 150 ml milk and 20 g sugar into the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec/speed 4. Add 2 eggs individually and mix for 10 sec/speed 4 each time.

Prepare pineapple

Peel 1 pineapple, cut into slices about 1 cm thick and carefully remove the core in the middle. Dab the slices dry a little.

Bread pineapple

Turn the pineapple slices in the prepared batter so that they are well covered on all sides.

Heat oil

Heat 500 ml sunflower oil in a large saucepan on the stove. The temperature is just right when small bubbles form on a wooden spoon handle that you hold in the oil.

Fry pineapple

Add the breaded pineapple rings to the hot oil in portions and fry for about 5-6 minutes until golden brown. Remove the baked pineapple from the fat and drain on kitchen paper.

Serve

Dust the fried pineapple rings with 50 g icing sugar and serve warm.
