Description

This Thermomix® recipe for chicken breast in pepper sauce is a hearty main course with chicken breast fillet, peppers and bacon. Preparation in the Thermomix® takes about 45 minutes and yields 6 servings. Ideal as a warm family meal or for festive occasions. The simple preparation also makes it suitable for cooking beginners.

Ingredients (18 ingredients)

  • 750 g Chicken breast fillet
  • 600 g red bell peppers
  • 100 g Onion
  • 100 g Pork belly, smoked
  • 2 Stk. Garlic cloves
  • 1 EL Vegetable oil
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 1 EL Flour
  • nach Geschmack Black pepper from the mill
  • 250 ml Cream
  • 250 ml Broth
  • 200 g Sour cream
  • 2 EL Tomato paste
  • 2 EL Sweet paprika powder
  • 1 EL Italian herbs
  • 1.5 TL Salt
  • 0.5 TL Black pepper from the mill
  • Cayenne pepper

Preparation (9 steps)

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 180°C circulating air in good time.

Chop onions and garlic

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 5, 3 sec/Speed 7

Put 100 g onions in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Add 2 garlic cloves and chop for 3 sec./speed 7. Push down with the spatula.

Sauté the bacon

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Put 100 g of diced smoked pork belly in the mixing bowl and sauté for 2 min./120°C/speed 1.

Add flour

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 2

Add 1 tbsp flour and stir in for 20 sec./speed 2.

Prepare sauce

Add 250 ml cream, 250 ml broth, 200 g sour cream, 2 tbsp tomato paste, 2 tbsp sweet paprika powder, 1 tbsp Italian herbs, 1.5 tsp salt, ½ tsp black pepper from the mill and 1 pinch of cayenne pepper to the mixing bowl and stir for 20 sec./speed 3.

Prepare peppers

Wash 600 g red bell peppers, core and cut into 1 cm wide strips. Set aside.

Sear chicken

Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large, ovenproof pan. Sear 750 g chicken breast fillet on each side for about 3 minutes, seasoning with 1 tsp salt. Remove from the pan, season with black pepper from the mill and set aside.

Add peppers and sauce

Add the pepper strips to the pan, place the chicken breast fillets on top and pour the sauce from the mixing bowl over everything.

Bake casserole

Place the pan on the middle rack in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
