Description

These chicken wings are a real journey into taste! The marinade in soy sauce, rice wine and ginger makes them incredibly tasty and tender. I often prepare them for dinner, accompanied by basmati rice, and they are always a success. The preparation is simple, but the marinade requires some time, so I recommend preparing them in advance. Perfect for an informal dinner with friends or for a Sunday lunch different from the usual. A cheap and tasty dish that everyone will like!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 1 kg Chicken wings
  • 30 ml Seed oil
  • 60 ml Chinese rice wine
  • 60 ml Soy sauce
  • 30 ml Dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 20 g Ginger
  • 150 ml Water
  • 4 piece Spring onions

Preparation (8 steps)

Preparation of the marinade

In a large bowl, mix the Chinese rice wine, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce and sugar.

Marinating the wings

Transfer the chicken wings to a baking dish and pour in the prepared marinade. Mix well with your hands to make sure all the wings are well covered. Cover with cling film and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Ginger preparation

Put the ginger in the bowl and chop for 3 Sec./Level 7.

Sauté the ginger

Add the seed oil to the bowl and sauté the ginger for 3 Min./120°C/Level 1.

Cooking the wings

Remove the ginger from the bowl and set aside. In a large pan, brown the marinated chicken wings on both sides.

Adding the marinade and spring onions

Add the filtered marinade, the sautéed ginger and the whole spring onions to the pan with the wings. Add enough water to cover the wings.

Cooking over low heat

Cover the pan with a lid and cook over low heat for 20 minutes.

Cooking without the lid

Remove the lid and cook for another 20 minutes over a slightly higher heat, until the sauce has thickened.
