Description

This dish of almond chicken bites is an explosion of oriental flavors, perfect for a quick and tasty dinner. The tender meat, marinated in soy sauce and spices, goes perfectly with the crunchiness of toasted almonds. I often prepare it when I have little time but want something delicious. The recipe is very simple and adapts well to various occasions, from family lunch to dinner with friends. A suggestion? Serve it with basmati rice for an even more complete experience! It is prepared in less than half an hour and the result is always a success.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 400 g diced chicken
  • 200 g peeled almonds
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp port wine
  • to taste white pepper
  • 5 tbsp cornstarch
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • oil

Preparation (4 steps)

Chicken preparation

Cut the chicken into very small cubes. In a bowl, mix the chicken with 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of port wine, a pinch of white pepper, 5 tablespoons of cornstarch and ½ teaspoon of garlic powder. Mix well to make sure the chicken is well coated.

Toasting the almonds

Pour a drizzle of oil into a pan and heat over high heat. Add 200 g of peeled almonds and toast, stirring continuously, until golden brown. Remove the almonds from the pan and set aside.

Cooking the chicken

In the same pan, add another drizzle of oil and heat over high heat. Pour the marinated chicken into the pan and cook, stirring continuously, for about 1 minute, until cooked and golden brown.

Combine and serve

Add the toasted almonds to the chicken and mix well. Serve immediately.
