Description

This recipe for aromatic fish in the style of southern Thailand is an absolute highlight! The combination of fresh fish and the spicy paste of ginger, garlic and lemongrass is simply unbeatable. I especially like to make this dish in the summer when I feel like something light but full of flavor. Preparation with the Thermomix® is super easy and quick. It goes well with a fresh salad and fragrant jasmine rice. A feast for the senses!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 0.5 kg Carp or fish fillets
  • 10 Scheibe/n Ginger root, thin
  • 6 Zehe/n Garlic
  • 3 Stiel/e Lemongrass chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 8 tbsp Oil

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare aromatic paste

Thermomix® Setting

Put 10 slices of ginger, 6 cloves of garlic and 3 stalks of lemongrass into the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./speed 7. Use the spatula to push everything down from the edge.

Season the paste

Add 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of pepper and mix for 10 sec./speed 4.

Marinate the fish

Wash the fish and, if necessary, gut it. Put half of the paste on the fish and spread well. Marinate the fish covered in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Fry the fish

Heat 8 tablespoons of oil in a pan and fry the fish in it until golden brown. Then remove from the pan and keep warm.

Prepare sauce

Put the remaining paste in the pan and fry briefly in the remaining oil until fragrant.
