Description

This spelt bread is a hearty bread that is ideal for breakfast. It is easy to prepare and takes about 3 hours to prepare. The recipe is designed for 4 servings and is well suited for vegetarians. The main ingredients are wheat flour, spelt flour and yeast.

  • 300 g Wheat flour Type 550
  • 200 g Spelt flour Type 630
  • 10 g Yeast
  • 10 g Salt
  • 300 g Water
  • 30 g Water

Prepare yeast

Add 10 g fresh yeast and 30 g water to the mixing bowl and mix for 2 min./37°C/speed 2.

Prepare dough

Add 300 g wheat flour type 550, 200 g spelt flour type 630, 10 g salt and 300 g lukewarm water to the mixing bowl and knead for 3 min./kneading stage.

Let the dough rise

Place the dough in a bowl and cover in a warm place for approx. 1-2 hours, until the volume has doubled.

Shape and bake bread

Shape the dough into a loaf on a floured work surface and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 220°C top/bottom heat. Bake the bread for approx. 45-50 minutes.
