Dieses Barbecue Chicken Flatbread ist ein absoluter Hit für jede Grillparty oder einen gemütlichen Abend zu Hause! Der Teig ist super einfach zubereitet und muss nicht lange gehen. Das Topping mit saftigem Hähnchen, geräuchertem Käse und einer leckeren Barbecue-Sauce macht diese Pizza zu etwas Besonderem. Ich mache sie oft, wenn Freunde zu Besuch sind, und sie ist immer im Nu verputzt. Wer es etwas schärfer mag, kann noch ein paar Chiliflocken hinzufügen. Ein tolles Rezept, das schnell geht und garantiert schmeckt!

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 250 g wholemeal flour
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 1 piece large onion
  • 1 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 2 tbsp barbecue sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato purée
  • 1 piece large skinless chicken breast
  • 175 g baby plum tomatoes
  • 50 g smoked cheese

Dough preparation

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading mode

Add 250g wholemeal flour, 1 tsp instant yeast, ¼ tsp salt, 1 tbsp rapeseed oil and 200ml warm water to the mixing bowl. Mix for 2 Min./Kneading mode. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour. Transfer the dough to a bowl, cover with a tea towel and set aside while preparing the topping.

Preparing the vegetables

Preheat the oven to 220°C/200°C fan/gas 7. Halve and slice 1 large onion. Toss the sliced onions with 1 tbsp rapeseed oil and 1 tsp fennel seeds in a bowl.

Roasting the vegetables

Spread the onion mixture on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.

Preparing the sauce

In a bowl, mix 2 tbsp barbecue sauce and 2 tbsp tomato purée with 5 tbsp water.

Coating the chicken

Cut 1 large skinless chicken breast into small pieces. Add two thirds of the barbecue sauce mix to the chicken and toss well to coat it.

Assembling the pizza

Take the dough from the bowl and press into the base and up the sides of an oiled 25x35cm Swiss roll tin. Spread with the remaining barbecue sauce mix. Spread the roasted onion mixture on top of the pizza. Scatter over 175g baby plum tomatoes, halved. Evenly spoon on the barbecue chicken. Scatter with 50g Applewood smoked cheese, grated.

Baking the pizza

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
