Ingredients (16 ingredients)

  • 1 piece Onion
  • 2 Zehen Garlic
  • 20 g Oil
  • 1 piece red pepper
  • 1 piece green pepper
  • 200 g diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Paprika powder
  • 0.5 tsp Cumin
  • 0.25 tsp Chili powder
  • 100 ml Water
  • 300 g Chicken breast fillet
  • 1 can Kidney beans
  • 100 g grated Cheese
  • 4 piece Tortilla wraps

Preparation (8 steps)

Chop onion and garlic

Add 1 peeled and quartered onion and 2 cloves of garlic to the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./level 5. Use the spatula to push everything down from the edge.

Sauté onion and garlic

Add 20 g oil to the chopped onions and garlic in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Add peppers and tomatoes

Add 1 red pepper in pieces, 1 green pepper in pieces and 200 g diced tomatoes and chop for 5 sec./level 4.

Add spices and simmer

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/212°F/Speed 1 212°F

Add 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1 tsp paprika powder, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/4 tsp chili powder and 100 ml water and simmer for 15 min./100°C/level 1.

Fry the chicken

Cut 300 g chicken breast fillet into bite-sized pieces and fry in a separate pan with some oil until cooked through.

Add chicken and beans

Add the fried chicken breast fillet and 1 can of kidney beans (drained weight approx. 250g), rinsed and drained, to the mixing bowl and heat for 5 min./100°C/reverse level 1.

Prepare filling

Transfer the chicken-vegetable mixture from the mixing bowl to a bowl. Stir in 100 g grated cheese.

Fill and serve burritos

Fill 4 tortilla wraps with the chicken-vegetable-cheese mixture, roll them up and serve. Serve with sour cream or guacamole as desired.
