Preparation (5 steps)
Prepare the pound cake
Crumble the homemade or store-bought pound cake with your hands into a bowl. If the cake has slightly dark and hard edges or a glaze, you should cut it off beforehand with a sharp knife.
Add and knead the cream cheese
Add 30g cream cheese, a teaspoon at a time, to the cake crumbs and knead everything together with your hands. At first it may seem like it's far too little, but that changes with kneading. If the mixture is still too dry at the end, you can add 1 tbsp of cream cheese.
Portion and form the mixture
Divide the cake-cream cheese mixture into about 10 portions and form each into a small ball.
Melt the chocolate coating
Chop 150g of chocolate coating into small pieces or use chocolate coating drops. Melt in a water bath. An adult should be present for both, of course.
Decorate the Cake Pops
Dip the cake pop sticks about 1 cm into the chocolate, skewer a cake pop and cover with chocolate coating. Decorate with sugar decorations and place in a cake pop stand or similar to dry. Refrigerate cake pops for about 30 minutes.
