Description

This clafoutis with fresh fruits is a comforting dessert that is easy to prepare, perfect for using seasonal fruits. I love making it with cherries in the spring, but it's just as delicious with apples and pears in the fall. The batter, lightly sweetened and vanilla-flavored, coats the fruits and bakes in the oven to create a texture that is both soft and melting. A real delight to enjoy warm or cold, ideal for a Sunday brunch or a delicious afternoon snack. The preparation is quick and the result is always a guaranteed success! Feel free to vary the fruits according to your desires and the seasons.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 100 g flour
  • 750 g fruits (cherries, apples, pears etc....)
  • 4 piece eggs
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • 75 g butter
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 40 cl milk
  • 1 c à s eau de vie (optional)

Preparation (5 steps)

Melted Butter

50g of butter in the bowl and melt for 2 Min./50°C/Stufe 2.

Batter preparation

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

Add 100g of flour, 4 eggs, 125g of sugar, 1 pinch of salt, 40 cl of milk and 1 packet of vanilla sugar in the bowl. Mix for 20 Sek./Stufe 4.

Final batter mixture

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 3

Add 1 tbsp of eau de vie (optional) and mix for 5 Sek./Stufe 3.

Dish preparation and cooking

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Butter a dish with the remaining butter. Arrange 750g of cut fruit in the dish. Pour the batter over the fruits. Bake in the oven for 30 Min./180°C.

End of cooking and tasting

Remove from the oven and sprinkle the clafoutis with remaining vanilla sugar. Put back to cook for 15 Min./180°C. Sprinkle again with vanilla sugar when removed from the oven. Enjoy warm or cold.
