Description

This berry compote with pear liqueur is a delightful and refreshing dessert, perfect for summer gatherings or a simple treat. I've been making this for years, and it's always a hit! The combination of fresh strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries, infused with the subtle sweetness of pear liqueur, creates a symphony of flavors. It's incredibly easy to prepare, with the Thermomix® handling the syrup effortlessly. The berries macerate in the syrup, absorbing all the delicious flavors. Serve it chilled on its own, over ice cream, or with yogurt for a light and satisfying dessert. It's a great way to showcase seasonal berries!

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 1.25 cups white sugar
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 0.25 cup pear liqueur
  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1 pint blueberries
  • 1 pint fresh blackberries

Preparation (3 steps)

1

Add 1 1/4 cups white sugar and 1/2 cup water to the Thermomix bowl. Cook for 5 minutes/100°C/Stufe 2, stirring until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture comes to a boil. Then, let the syrup stand in the Thermomix bowl for 5 more minutes.

Infuse the syrup with pear liqueur

Add 1/4 cup pear liqueur to the syrup in the Thermomix bowl and stir gently with a spatula. Transfer the syrup to a container and refrigerate for 1 hour.

3

Combine berries and syrup

Gently combine 1 pound fresh strawberries (hulled), 1 pint blueberries, and 1 pint fresh blackberries in a large bowl. Pour the chilled syrup over the berries to coat them evenly. Allow the berries to stand for about 3 hours to absorb the flavors. The mixture can stand up to 3 days if desired.
