Description

This homemade blueberry jam is a real treasure! I often prepare it during the summer, when blueberries are at their peak of flavor. It is perfect spread on a slice of toasted bread for breakfast or to fill pies and cakes. Its velvety texture and intense taste of fresh blueberries make it irresistible. The preparation is very simple and quick, also ideal for those who do not have much experience in the kitchen. An excellent idea is also to give it away in small jars to your friends and relatives. It keeps for a long time and carries with it the scent of summer!

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • Blueberries
  • Sugar
  • Lemon juice
  • Water
  • Pectin

Preparation (5 steps)

Preparation of the blueberries

Wash the blueberries thoroughly under running water and drain them well. Make sure to remove any leaves or twigs.

Initial cooking

Pour the washed blueberries into the Thermomix bowl. Add the sugar, pectin, lemon juice and water. Mix gently with the spatula.

Cooking the jam

30 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Cook the mixture for 30 Min./100°C/Stufe 2. Make sure to place the basket on the lid to avoid splashing.

Checking the consistency

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

After 30 minutes, check the consistency of the jam. If necessary, continue cooking for another 10 Min./100°C/Stufe 2. To check the consistency, pour a teaspoon of jam onto a cold saucer and tilt it. If it thickens quickly, it is ready.

Cooling and jarring

Let the jam cool slightly in the bowl for about 5 minutes. Transfer the hot jam into sterilized glass jars and close them tightly. Turn the jars upside down to create a vacuum and let them cool completely.
