Description

This chicken consommé is a real panacea, perfect for warming up cold winter evenings. The recipe is simple and genuine, ideal for those looking for a comforting and flavorful dish. Prepared with free-range chicken, celery, carrots and onions, this broth is a concentrate of nutrients and flavor. I often prepare it when I need to pamper myself a little or when I feel a cold coming on. It is excellent on its own, but can be enriched with pasta or bread croutons. A true comfort food!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 1 piece hen
  • 3 l water
  • 1 cipolle onions
  • 1 carote carrots
  • 1 coste celery
  • 3 chiodi cloves
  • 1 scorza lemon zest
  • 1.5 tbsp fine salt

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare chicken

Cut the chicken into 4 parts and put it in the Mixtopf.

Adding water

Add 3 l of water into the Mixtopf.

Prepare vegetables

Cut the celery and carrot into pieces. Stick the cloves into the onion.

Adding vegetables and flavorings

Add the celery, carrot, onion with cloves and lemon zest into the Mixtopf.

Salt and cook

Thermomix® Setting
60 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add 1.5 tablespoons of fine salt. Close the lid and cook for 60 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Serve

Pour the hen broth into bowls and serve hot.
