Description

This hearty potato ham casserole is an absolute comfort food! I especially like to make it when it gets colder outside. The combination of creamy sauce, potatoes, ham and egg is simply unbeatable. The rosemary gives the casserole a special touch. It is super easy to prepare and perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. If you like, you can sprinkle some cheese on top. A great recipe that is guaranteed to please everyone and can also be prepared well!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 5 piece Potatoes, floury
  • 3 piece Eggs
  • 100 g Ham
  • 125 ml Cream
  • 125 g Sour cream
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Rosemary
  • Cheese

Preparation (6 steps)

Cook potatoes and eggs

Thermomix® Setting

Put 5 medium-sized, floury potatoes unpeeled into the steamer basket. Put 3 eggs in the mixing bowl. Add 1 liter of water to the mixing bowl, insert the steamer basket and cook for 25 min./Varoma/speed 1.

Prepare sauce

Remove the cooked potatoes and eggs from the mixing bowl and set aside. Empty the water from the mixing bowl. Add 125 ml cream, 125 g sour cream, salt, pepper and rosemary to taste to the mixing bowl and stir for 10 sec./speed 3.

Fry ham

Fry 100 g ham lightly on both sides in a pan and then cut into bite-sized pieces.

Cut potatoes and eggs

Rinse the cooked potatoes and eggs with cold water, let them cool down a little and then cut them into slices.

Layer casserole

Fill a casserole dish with the potato and egg slices, the fried ham and the sauce in layers. Start with a layer of potatoes, then some sauce, ham and egg. Repeat this until all the ingredients are used up. Finish with a layer of potatoes and sauce.

Bake casserole

Sprinkle the casserole with cheese as desired and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 25 minutes.
