Description

These creamy pasta with bacon and cured ham are a real delight! I often make this recipe for a quick lunch or a comforting dinner. The creamy sauce with garlic and basil goes perfectly with the salty taste of the bacon and cured ham. It's a simple dish to prepare, but it's always a big hit. You can use any type of pasta, but short pasta like penne or fusilli are ideal for holding the sauce well. Feel free to add a little grated parmesan for even more indulgence!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 300 g of pasta
  • 100 g of extra lean bacon
  • 4 slice of prosciutto or Italian ham
  • 2 c. à s. of chopped basil
  • 2 piece eggs
  • 4 clove of pressed garlic
  • 20 cl of light crème fraîche
  • 1 c. à c. of rapeseed oil
  • 0.5 c. à c. of salt or fine salt

Preparation (7 steps)

Cooking the pasta

Cook 300 g of pasta in a saucepan of boiling salted water. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce.

Cooking the bacon

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/Varoma/Speed 1 Varoma

Put 1 teaspoon of rapeseed oil and 100 g of extra lean bacon in the Thermomix bowl. Cook for 5 Min./Varoma/Stufe 1 without the measuring cup.

Adding the garlic and basil

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 2

Add 4 cloves of pressed garlic and 2 tablespoons of chopped basil to the bowl. Mix 10 Sek./Stufe 2.

Cooking the cream

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/194°F/Speed 1 90

Pour 20 cl of light crème fraîche into the bowl. Cook for 15 Min./90°C/Stufe 1.

Incorporating the eggs

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Add 2 eggs to the bowl and mix 20 Sek./Stufe 3.

Seasoning

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 2

Add ½ teaspoon of salt or fine salt and mix 5 Sek./Stufe 2.

Service

Serve the hot pasta with the sauce and 4 slices of Italian ham cut into pieces.
