Description

This creamy cashew fondue is a delicious and vegan alternative to classic cheese fondue. I especially like to make it on cold winter evenings when I need something hearty and warming. The cashew butter provides an incredibly creamy texture, while the miso paste adds a pleasant spiciness. Perfect for dipping with bread, vegetables or Mixed Pickles. Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Vegan margarine
  • 300 ml Dry white wine
  • 200 ml Almond drink
  • 120 g Cashew butter
  • 1 tbsp Light miso paste
  • 4 tbsp Salt
  • 3 tbsp Tapioca starch

Preparation (7 steps)

Chop garlic

Place 1 clove of garlic in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 7.

Sauté garlic

Add 2 tbsp vegan margarine and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Add liquids and paste

Add 300 ml dry white wine, 200 ml almond drink, 100 ml water and 1 tbsp light miso paste to the mixing bowl.

Add cashew butter and mix

10 sec/Speed 4

Add 120 g cashew butter and 4 tbsp salt and mix for 10 sec./speed 4.

Bring to a boil

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Bring to a boil for 3 min./100°C/speed 2.

Add starch and thicken

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/194°F/Speed 3 90

Add 3 tbsp tapioca starch and stir for 2 min./90°C/speed 3 until the fondue becomes slightly thick.

Pour the fondue into a fondue pot and serve.
