Description

This creamy chicken vegetable is a hearty and filling dish, perfect for the cold season. Tender chicken breast, fresh vegetables and a creamy sauce make it a delicious main course for the whole family. Preparation in the Thermomix® is simple and straightforward. The dish is rich in protein and vegetables and can be prepared well.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 600 g Chicken breast fillet
  • 300 g Carrots
  • 250 g Mushrooms
  • 150 g Peas - frozen
  • 3 EL Butter
  • 3 EL Flour
  • 600 ml Chicken broth
  • 100 ml Cream
  • nach Geschmack Salt
  • nach Geschmack Pepper
  • 1 Spritzer Lemon juice
  • 1 Spritzer Worcestershire sauce

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare chicken

Cut 600 g chicken breast fillet into small, bite-sized pieces and set aside.

Prepare vegetables

Peel 300 g carrots and cut into small cubes. Halve 250 g mushrooms and cut into slices. Have 150 g frozen peas ready.

Prepare roux

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Put 3 tbsp butter in the mixing bowl and melt for 3 min./100°C/speed 1. Add 3 tbsp flour and stir for 2 min./100°C/speed 2 until a golden yellow roux forms.

Prepare sauce

3 min/194°F/Speed 2 90

Gradually add 600 ml chicken broth to the roux in the mixing bowl and stir for 5 min./100°C/speed 3. Add 100 ml cream and simmer for a further 3 min./90°C/speed 2.

Add vegetables

5 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 100 Reverse

Add carrots, mushrooms and peas to the mixing bowl and simmer for 5 min./100°C/reverse blade speed 1.

Cook chicken

Thermomix® Setting
8 min/194°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 90 Reverse

Add the prepared chicken pieces to the mixing bowl and cook for 8 min./90°C/reverse blade speed 1.

Season

Season the chicken vegetables with salt, pepper, 1 dash of lemon juice and 1 dash of Worcestershire sauce and serve.
