Description

This creamy coconut lentil dal, prepared in the Thermomix®, is a vegan and protein-rich main course with red lentils, onions, garlic and ginger as a base. Refined with aromatic spices such as curry and cumin, a soothing soup is created. In just 30 minutes, including 15 minutes of active work, you can conjure up 4 servings of healthy, gluten-free and Asian-inspired cuisine. Ideal for a quick, light and yet filling meal.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 1 Stück Onion
  • 2 Zehen Garlic
  • 1 Stück Ginger
  • 300 g red lentils
  • 1 EL Olive oil
  • 1 TL Curry
  • 1 TL Sweet paprika powder
  • 0.5 TL Cumin
  • 0.5 TL Turmeric
  • 0.5 TL Salt
  • 700 ml Vegetable broth
  • 400 g Chopped tomatoes
  • 200 ml Coconut milk

Preparation (6 steps)

Chop onions

Place 1 onion in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5.

Sauté ingredients

Add 1 tbsp olive oil and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Add 1 tsp curry, 1 tsp sweet paprika powder, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp turmeric and 1/2 tsp salt and roast for 1 min./120°C/speed 1.

Add remaining ingredients and cook

Add 700 ml vegetable broth, 300 g drained red lentils and 400 g chopped tomatoes and cook for 20 min./100°C/reverse rotation/gentle stir setting.

Stir in coconut milk and simmer

Add 200 ml coconut milk and simmer for 5 min./90°C/reverse rotation/gentle stir setting.
