Description
Fine button cookies are a simple Christmas cookie that can be prepared quickly with the Thermomix®. The main ingredients are margarine, sugar, egg and flour. In just 35 minutes, about 40 servings of these delicious cookies are created. Ideal for the winter coffee table or as finger food for the whole family.

Preparation (5 steps)
Mix margarine and sugar
Put 150 g margarine and 125 g sugar in the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec./speed 4.
Add egg
Add 1 egg (size L) and stir in for 10 sec./speed 3.
Add and mix flour
Add 300 g flour and mix for 30 sec./speed 4. Remove the dough from the mixing bowl with floured hands and form into a ball.
Roll out and cut out the dough
Preheat the oven to 180 °C (convection: 160 °C). Roll out the dough in portions on a floured work surface to a thickness of approx. 3-4 mm, making sure that the rolling pin is always well floured. Cut out circles with a glass or cookie cutter. Use a slightly smaller glass or cookie cutter to press in a second circle, but do not press it through. Use a straw to cut out the characteristic buttonholes.
Bake cookies
Bake the button cookies on baking trays lined with baking paper in the preheated oven for approx. 12 minutes until they are very lightly browned. Remove the button cookies from the tray with the baking paper and leave to cool on a wire rack.
