Sweet bread for Easter.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 25 g fresh Yeast
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 125 ml lukewarm Milk
  • 500 g Flour
  • 75 g soft Butter
  • 1 piece Egg
  • 1 piece Egg yolk
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 tsp Lemon flavoring

Prepare yeast

Place the fresh yeast, sugar and lukewarm milk in the mixing bowl and mix for 2 min./37°C/speed 2.

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/Kneading speed

Add the flour, soft butter, egg, egg yolk, salt and lemon flavoring to the mixing bowl and knead for 3 min./kneading stage to a smooth dough.

Let the dough rise

Place the dough in a bowl, cover and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, until doubled in size.

Shape dough

Briefly knead the dough on a lightly floured work surface and shape into an oblong loaf. If you like, you can also put the dough in a greased loaf pan.

Prepare dough piece

Place the bread on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and brush with beaten egg yolk.

Baking

Bake the bread in a preheated oven at 180°C top/bottom heat for about 30-40 minutes.

Let cool

Remove the finished bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.
