Description

Delicious energy balls made with dates and nuts, perfect for a healthy snack.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 200 g Dates (pitted)
  • 100 g Walnuts
  • 50 g Almonds
  • 50 g Hazelnuts
  • 2 tbsp Nut butter (e.g. almond butter)
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • Shredded coconut, chopped nuts or cocoa powder (for rolling)

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare nuts

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 5

Put 100 g walnuts, 50 g almonds and 50 g hazelnuts in the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./speed 5. Transfer and set aside.

Chop dates

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 5

Put 200 g dates (pitted) into the mixing bowl and chop for 10 sec./speed 5. If necessary, scrape down the sides with the spatula and repeat the process until the dates are finely chopped.

Add nut butter

Add 2 tbsp nut butter (e.g. almond butter) to the chopped dates in the mixing bowl.

Mix ingredients

20 sec/Speed 4

Add the chopped nuts from step 1, 2 tbsp cocoa powder and 1 pinch of salt to the dates and nut butter in the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec./speed 4. Use the spatula if necessary.

Form energy balls

Remove the mixture from the mixing bowl and use your hands to form small balls (approx. 20 pieces).

Optional: Prepare toppings

Optional: For rolling the energy balls, put shredded coconut, chopped nuts or cocoa powder in separate bowls.

Roll energy balls

Roll the formed energy balls in shredded coconut, chopped nuts or cocoa powder as desired.

Chill

Place the energy balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
