Description

These fluffy cream buns are a delight for any time of the day. The recipe is very simple and quick to prepare with the Thermomix®. The cream gives it a soft texture and a delicate flavor, while the lemon zest adds a fresh and aromatic touch. They are perfect for breakfast, snack or as an accompaniment to a coffee or tea.   • 1 piece egg
  • 200 centímetros cúbicos cream
  • 1 cucharada postre lemon zest
  • 250 gramos 0000 flour
  • 1 cucharada postre baking powder
  • 50 gramos sugar

Mix dry ingredients

Place the flour and baking powder in the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 5 seconds/speed 4 to combine the dry ingredients.

Add wet ingredients

Add the egg, cold cream, sugar and lemon zest to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 15 seconds/speed 3 until a homogeneous dough is obtained. Reserve 2 tablespoons of cream for later.

Rest the dough

Remove the dough from the Thermomix bowl and place it on a lightly floured surface. Form a disc and wrap in plastic wrap. Let stand for 15 minutes in the refrigerator.

Roll out and shape

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Roll out the dough into a rectangular shape on a floured surface. Spread with part of the reserved cream. Fold the dough in half like a book, spread again with cream and sprinkle with sugar. Cut the dough in half and then cut triangles to form the scones.

Bake the scones

Grease a baking sheet with oil and sprinkle with flour. Place the scones on the tray, separated by a finger. Bake in the preheated oven at 180°C for 12 minutes, or until golden brown.

Serve

Remove the scones from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
