Description

Festive gingerbread figures are a Christmas cookie recipe for the Thermomix® with honey, sugar, butter and wheat flour. The preparation of the finger food or dessert takes a total of 225 minutes, the active working time is about 30 minutes. The recipe yields approximately 20 servings. Ideal for the festive season and for baking with the family.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 250 g Honey
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 125 g Butter
  • 500 g Wheat flour Type 405
  • 5 g Baking powder
  • 15 g Gingerbread spice
  • 1 EL Cocoa
  • 1 Stück Egg (size M)

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare Honey-Sugar-Butter Mixture

5 min/122°F/Speed 2 50

Put 250 g honey, 100 g sugar and 125 g butter into the mixing bowl and heat for 5 min./50°C/speed 2 until everything has melted. Then transfer to a bowl and let cool completely.

Mix dry ingredients

Thermomix® Setting
15 sec/Speed 4

Put 500 g wheat flour type 405, 5 g baking powder, 15 g gingerbread spice and 1 tbsp cocoa into the mixing bowl and mix for 15 sec./speed 4. Then transfer.

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Add the cooled honey-sugar-butter mixture, 1 egg (size M) and the flour mixture to the mixing bowl and process for 2 min./kneading stage to form a smooth dough.

Let the dough rest

Remove the dough from the mixing bowl, wrap in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat.

Cut out gingerbread

Roll out the dough on a floured work surface to about 0.5 cm thick and cut out gingerbread men with cookie cutters.

Bake gingerbread

Bake the gingerbread on a baking sheet lined with baking paper in the preheated oven on the middle rack for 12-15 minutes.
