Description

This simple yet flavorful cod dish is perfect for a quick and healthy weeknight meal. The Dijon mustard adds a tangy kick that complements the delicate flavor of the cod. Ingredients (4 ingredients)

  • 4 piece thick cod steaks (or other firm white fish)
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 4 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped flat parsley

Prepare the parsley

Add 1 tablespoon of flat parsley to the mixing bowl and chop for 3 Sec./Stufe 8. Set aside.

Season the fish

Trim 4 thick cod steaks (or other firm white fish) and season on both sides with salt and pepper.

Heat the oil

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan (which can be transferred to the oven) on the stovetop over medium-high heat.

Sear the fish

Fry the cod steaks on one side until crisp underneath. This should take about 3-4 minutes.

Add mustard and bake

Using a pastry brush, paint 4 teaspoons of Dijon mustard over the top side of the cod. Place the pan in a pre-heated oven at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for around 5 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish.

Serve

Sprinkle with the chopped parsley and serve immediately.
