These buttermilk waffles are a delightful way to start the day! I've been making these for my family for years, and they always disappear quickly. Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 piece large egg
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Preparation (4 steps)

Combine dry ingredients

Add 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon white sugar, ½ teaspoon baking soda, and ¼ teaspoon salt to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 10 Sec./Stufe 3 to combine.

Combine wet ingredients

Add 1 cup buttermilk, 1 large egg, and 1 tablespoon vegetable oil to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 10 Sec./Stufe 3 to combine.

Combine wet and dry ingredients

Thermomix® Setting
15 sec/Speed 2

Mix for 15 Sec./Stufe 2. Use the spatula to scrape down the sides of the bowl and mix again for 5 Sec./Stufe 2. Do not overmix.

Cook the waffles

Preheat a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions. Preheat oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C). Set a wire rack on a baking sheet and place in the oven. Pour batter into preheated waffle iron, leaving about 1/2-inch border; close iron and cook according to manufacturer's instructions, 3 to 5 minutes. Transfer cooked waffles to the rack in the oven. Continue cooking waffles with remaining batter.
