Description

Make fresh cream cheese at home with this easy recipe.

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 2 Liter Fresh milk (3.5%)
  • 5 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp Sour cream or sour cream
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 tbsp Fresh herbs (of your choice)
  • 2 Zehe/n Garlic (cloves)

Heat milk

Put 2 liters of fresh milk (3.5%) into the mixing bowl and heat for 15 min./90°C/speed 2. Be sure to stay with it and stir again and again with the spatula.

Stir in salt and lemon juice

Add 1 teaspoon of salt and 5 tablespoons of lemon juice to the mixing bowl and stir in for 1 min./90°C/speed 2 reverse.

Let simmer

Let the milk simmer lightly until the whey has separated from the milk protein. This is easy to recognize because the milk "splits".

Cool and drain

Pour the mixture into a sieve lined with a clean cloth and let it drain. The longer the mass drains, the firmer the cream cheese becomes.

Add herbs and garlic

Put 3 heaped tablespoons of sour cream or sour cream, 3 tablespoons of fresh herbs (of your choice) and 2 clove/s of garlic (cloves) into the mixing bowl. Place the WunderSlicer V2 on the mixing bowl lid, select the fine disc and add the garlic. Collect the cut material and mix with the remaining ingredients for 30 sec./speed 3.
