Description

This chicken soup with chickpeas and coriander is a perfect comfort food for cool evenings. The recipe, simple and quick to prepare with the Thermomix®, is an excellent solution for a complete and nutritious meal. The tender chicken blends perfectly with the chickpeas, pasta and fresh coriander, creating an explosion of flavors. I often prepare it when I need a hot and comforting dish, perhaps adding a pinch of chili pepper for an extra touch. Ideal for the whole family!

  • Chickpeas
  • Pasta
  • to taste Tomato paste
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • Coriander
  • to taste Chili powder
  • 1 piece Onions
  • 1.5 l Water
  • Celery

Preparation (9 steps)

Initial preparation of the vegetables

A peeled onion in the bowl and chop for 3 Sec./Stufe 5. With the help of the spatula, collect the chopped mixture on the bottom of the bowl.

Brown the onion

Add a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil in the bowl and cook for 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Brown the chicken

In a separate pan, brown the chicken pieces until it changes color. Transfer the browned chicken into the bowl.

Adding the tomato paste and water

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 3

Add the tomato paste (about 2 tablespoons) and 500 ml of water in the bowl. Mix for 5 Sek./Stufe 3.

Initial cooking

10 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Cook for 10 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Adding garlic and celery

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 4

Add a finely chopped clove of garlic and the celery into small pieces in the bowl. Mix for 3 Sek./Stufe 4.

Adding the chickpeas and spices

Add the pre-cooked chickpeas (about 200g), a pinch of chili powder and chopped coriander in the bowl.

Final cooking

15 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add the remaining liter of water into the bowl and cook for 15 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Adding the pasta

Thermomix® Setting
212°F/Speed 1/Linkslauf 100 Reverse

Add the pasta (about 80g) in the bowl and cook for the time indicated on the package, 100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.
