Description

These shortbread cookies, prepared in the Thermomix®, are a Christmas classic. A delicate dough is made from butter, sugar, eggs, and flour. Preparation takes about 50 minutes and yields one portion. Ideal as finger food, dessert, or for festive occasions.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

250 g Butter, soft
250 g Sugar
2 Egg(s)
500 g Flour
0.5 Pck. Baking powder
Powdered sugar
Lemon juice

Preparation (7 steps)

Mix butter, sugar and eggs

2 min/Speed 4

Place 250 g soft butter, 250 g sugar and 2 eggs in the mixing bowl and mix for 2 min./speed 4.

Mix in flour and baking powder

Add 500 g flour and 0.5 pack of baking powder to the mixing bowl and mix for 2 min./kneading setting. If necessary, scrape down the sides with the spatula.

Let the dough rest

Remove the dough from the mixing bowl, wrap in cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator for a few hours. This is optional.

Roll out and cut out dough

Roll out the dough thinly on a floured work surface and cut out cookies with cookie cutters. Place the cut-out cookies on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Bake the cookies

Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at approx. 200°C for 5-8 minutes until the edges are lightly brown. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
