Ingredients (9 ingredients)

250 g Butter
250 g brown Sugar
2 Stück Eggs (Size L)
500 g Wheat Flour Type 405
1 Pck. Vanilla Sugar
1 etwas green Food Coloring
1 etwas Flour for the work surface
200 g Powdered Sugar
1 etwas colorful Sprinkles

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting

2 min/Kneading speed

Add 250 g soft butter, 250 g brown sugar, 2 eggs (size L), 500 g wheat flour type 405 and 1 packet vanilla sugar into the mixing bowl and knead for 2 min./kneading stage to a dough.

Divide and color dough

Divide the dough into 2 equal portions. Wrap one portion in cling film and place in the refrigerator. Color the other half of the dough with green food coloring, then also wrap it in foil and place in the refrigerator (approx. 20 minutes).

Preheat oven and prepare baking sheets

Preheat oven to 175°C top/bottom heat. Line baking sheets with baking paper.

Roll out and cut out dough

Roll out both doughs on a floured surface; if they stick, simply work in a little flour. Cut out circular cookies from the light dough and place on the baking sheet. With a Christmas tree cutter that fits into the round cutter, then cut out Christmas trees from the round cookies on the baking sheet. Process the green dough in the same way.

Assemble cookies

Insert green trees into the white circles and white trees into the green circles. Slide baking sheets one after the other into the oven for 10-12 minutes, the cookies should not turn brown! Remove and let cool completely.

Prepare icing and decorate cookies

20 sec/Speed 3

Put 200 g powdered sugar with some water into the mixing bowl and stir for 20 sec./speed 3 until smooth to a thick icing. Brush the edges of the cookies with it using a brush and decorate with the colorful sprinkles as desired.
