Description

These heart-shaped cookies with chocolate coating are a real eye-catcher and taste simply delicious! I especially like to bake them for birthdays or Easter, because they look so festive. The dough is quick to make and easy to roll out. The filling of chocolate and nut-nougat cream makes the cookies particularly juicy. You need a little patience when decorating, but it's worth it! If you like, you can also decorate the cookies with other colors or patterns. They are a great gift or just for snacking yourself.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 1 piece Egg
  • 200 g Flour
  • 1 etwas Flour
  • 100 g Powdered sugar
  • 250 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 0.5 ½ grated peel of 1/2 organic orange
  • 100 g cold Butter
  • 150 g Bittersweet chocolate
  • 75 g Whipping cream
  • 75 g Nut nougat cream (glass)

Preparation (12 steps)

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Put 200 g flour, 100 g powdered sugar, 1 pinch of salt, egg yolk, ½ grated peel of 1/2 organic orange and 100 g cold butter in pieces into the mixing bowl and knead for 2 min./kneading level to a smooth dough.

Cool dough

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for about 45 minutes.

Preheat oven and roll out dough

Line two baking sheets with baking paper. Preheat oven to 175°C top/bottom heat (150°C fan oven). Roll out the dough on a lightly floured work surface to about 3 mm thick.

Cut out hearts

Cut out a total of approx. 34 hearts (approx. 5 x 6.5 cm each), kneading and rolling out the dough scraps again and again.

Bake cookies

Place hearts on the baking sheets and bake in the preheated oven for about 8 minutes. Remove cookies, transfer to a wire rack with the paper and let cool.

Chop chocolate

Thermomix® Setting
8 sec/Speed 8

Put 150 g bittersweet chocolate in pieces into the mixing bowl and chop for 8 sec./speed 8.

Prepare chocolate cream

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/194°F/Speed 1 90

Add 75 g whipping cream to the mixing bowl and heat for 3 min./90°C/speed 1. Then add 75 g nut nougat cream and stir for 20 sec./speed 3 until the chocolate has melted.

Let the chocolate cream cool

Pour the chocolate cream into a bowl and let it cool.

Fill cookies

Spread chocolate cream on 17 hearts. Press 1 lollipop stick into each. Place remaining hearts on top, press lightly.

Prepare glaze

Sift 250 g powdered sugar into a bowl. Add egg white and stir with a whisk.

Color glaze

Divide glaze into thirds. Color 1⁄3 pink and 1⁄3 red. Fill about 1 tbsp of each glaze into small freezer bags.

Decorate cookies

Coat cookies on one side with remaining glaze, white, pink or red. Let dry. Cut off a small corner from each of the freezer bags. Write on the cookies with it. Let dry.
