Description

The Muraveinik Anthill Cake is a festive Russian cake prepared with the Thermomix®. The main ingredients are flour, sugar, margarine and condensed milk. The cake takes about 90 minutes to prepare and yields 20 servings. This dessert is especially suitable for birthdays, Christmas, New Year's Eve or other festive occasions.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 750 g Flour
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 300 g Margarine
  • 1 TL Baking powder
  • 1 TL Vinegar
  • 150 g Sour cream
  • 200 g Butter
  • 2 Dosen Condensed milk
  • 55 g Sugar
  • 15 g Baking cocoa
  • 85 g Sour cream
  • 10 g Butter

Preparation (15 steps)

Dough

Halve the ingredients for the dough and prepare steps 1 and 2 twice as follows:

Prepare dough (halve the amount of dough)

Add flour, sugar and margarine to the mixing bowl and process into a dough for 2.5 min./kneading setting.

Prepare baking powder-vinegar mixture

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/Kneading speed

Mix baking powder with vinegar in a small bowl and add to the mixing bowl. Also add sour cream and process into a dough for 3 min./kneading setting.

Prepare mixing bowl

Rinse and dry the mixing bowl.

Shape and chill dough

Place the dough in a lightly floured bowl, knead again by hand and divide into six equal parts and shape into balls. Place the balls in a tin and put in the freezer for approx. 15-20 minutes.

Preheat oven

Preheat oven to 180°C top/bottom heat.

Grate and bake dough

Using a coarse grater, grate the balls directly over the baking tray, spread well and bake one after the other for approx. 20 minutes.

Prepare crumbs

Place the baked crumbs in a bowl and crush lightly by hand.

Prepare cream

Thermomix® Setting

Put 200 g butter in the mixing bowl and melt for 1.5 min./40°C/speed 2. Scrape everything down from the edge of the mixing bowl and melt again for 1 min./40°C/speed 2.

Add condensed milk

Add 2 cans of condensed milk and stir for 30 sec./speed 3. Scrape everything down from the edge of the mixing bowl and stir again for 30 sec./speed 4.

Prepare mixing bowl

Rinse and dry the mixing bowl.

Mix cream and crumbs

Add the cream to the crumbs and mix well. Use a cake ring to form an anthill on a plate and let it cool well.

Prepare glaze

Put 55 g sugar, 15 g baking cocoa and 85 g sour cream in the mixing bowl and stir for 3 min./50°C/speed 1.

Add butter

Add 10 g butter and stir for 1 min./50°C/speed 1.

Spread and chill glaze

Spread the glaze over the cooled anthill cake and chill again.
