Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 360 g Whole wheat flour
  • 200 g Whole cane sugar
  • 1 TL Cinnamon
  • 250 g Margarine
  • 2 Stück Eggs
  • 0.5 TL Baking powder
  • 3 EL Milk
  • 100 g Almonds, pine nuts and candied fruits

Preparation (7 steps)

Mix dry ingredients

Put 360 g whole wheat flour, 200 g whole cane sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon in the mixing bowl and mix for 15 sec/speed 4.

Knead the dough

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Add 250 g margarine in flakes and 2 eggs and knead for 2 min/kneading level to a smooth dough.

Rest the dough

Put the dough in a bowl, cover and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 5 hours, preferably overnight.

Incorporate baking powder

Sprinkle 1/2 tsp baking powder on the dough and briefly knead in with your hands.

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 200 °C (convection: 180 °C).

Shape and top cookies

Roll out the dough 5 mm thick on baking paper or a lightly floured work surface. Cut out cookies with simple cookie cutters (circles, rectangles, also figures) and place on baking sheets lined with baking paper. Brush the spice cookies with 3 tbsp milk, decorate with 100 g almonds, pine nuts and candied fruits.

Baking

Bake the spice cookies in the preheated oven for about 12 minutes.
