Description

This hearty Szegediner Goulash, prepared in the Thermomix®, is a savory main course with lean goulash meat, onions and peppers. Refined with tomatoes and bay leaf, the goulash warms especially in the cold season. The recipe makes 4 servings and is ready in 90 minutes, the active working time is about 30 minutes. Ideal as a filling family meal or for lovers of traditional home cooking.

  • 10 g Sunflower oil
  • 400 g very lean beef or pork goulash
  • 2 Stück large onions
  • 1 Tasse Water
  • 1 EL Bell peppers
  • 4 Stück Tomatoes
  • 1 Stück Bay leaf
  • Iodized salt
  • Pepper
  • 500 g fresh Sauerkraut
  • 2 Stück large potatoes
  • 50 g Sour cream

Chop onions

Sear meat

Sear meat sharply in a separate pan from all sides.

Prepare goulash

Add seared meat, water, bell peppers and tomatoes to the mixing bowl and simmer for 30 min./100°C/speed 1 reverse.

Add sauerkraut and potatoes

Add sauerkraut, iodized salt, pepper and grated potatoes to the mixing bowl and simmer everything together for 10-15 min./100°C/speed 1 reverse.

Add sour cream to the mixing bowl and stir in for 10 sec./speed 2 reverse.
