Description

This dauphinois gratin with three cheeses is a comforting and tasty dish, perfect for autumn or winter evenings. I love preparing this gratin because it is simple to make and always appreciated by my guests. The melting potatoes, combined with the richness of the appenzel, emmental and comté, create an irresistible harmony of flavors. The touch of nutmeg brings a warm and fragrant note. This gratin is ideal to accompany grilled meat or simply enjoyed alone, as a vegetarian main course. A real treat!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 400 g Potato
  • 100 g Appenzel
  • 100 g Emmental
  • 100 g Grated comté
  • 6 c. à soupe Thick crème fraîche
  • 10 cl Milk
  • 2 pinch Nutmeg
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare potatoes

Peel and wash the potatoes. Then cut them into thin slices using a mandoline or a knife. Set aside.

Prepare cheeses

Cut the appenzel and emmental into thin slices about 2 mm thick. Grate the comté. Set aside.

Prepare cream

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

In the Thermomix bowl, mix the thick crème fraîche, milk, grated nutmeg, salt and pepper. Mix 10 Sek./Stufe 3.

Layer gratin

In a fairly high gratin dish, alternate the potatoes and cheeses in regular layers. Pour the cream, milk mixture on top, being careful not to overfill the dish.

Bake gratin

Preheat the oven to 150°C (th.5). Put the dish in the oven for 45 minutes. Check the cooking with the tip of a knife.
