Description

This creamy dauphinois gratinated is a perfect accompaniment to your festive meals or family dinners. I often prepare it, because it is simple to make and always appreciated. The melting potatoes, coated with a smooth sauce based on milk and cream, flavored with nutmeg, make it a comforting and tasty dish. This gratinated is ideal to accompany grilled or roasted meat. It is prepared in no time with the Thermomix®, which is a major asset. Feel free to vary the pleasures by adding a clove of garlic or some herbs of Provence for a Provençal touch. A real delight!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 1 c. à c. nutmeg
  • Butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 l whole milk
  • 40 cl whole liquid cream (30% fat)
  • 1 kg potato

Preparation of ingredients

Peel and wash the potatoes. Cut them into thin slices (about 2-3 mm thick). Butter a gratin dish.

Preparation of the sauce

In the Thermomix® bowl, pour 1 l of whole milk, 40 cl of whole liquid cream (30% fat), 1 tsp of grated nutmeg, salt and pepper.

Cooking the sauce

Program the Thermomix® for 15 Min./90°C/Stufe 2.

Assembly of the gratinated

Arrange a layer of potato slices in the buttered dish. Pour in some of the milk and cream sauce. Repeat the operation until all the ingredients are used up. Finish with a layer of sauce.

Baking in the oven

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Bake the gratin for about 50 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
