Ingredients (16 ingredients)

  • 1 mittelgroß Cauliflower
  • 300 g Macaroni, short
  • 200 ml Cooking water
  • 200 g Creme Fraiche
  • 200 g Gruyère or Emmentaler, grated
  • 50 g Parmesan, grated
  • 300 g Cooked ham, diced
  • 2 EL Salt
  • 1 TL Olive oil
  • 1 Prise Salt
  • 1 Prise Pepper, black
  • 1 Messerspitze Nutmeg, grated
  • 28 Stück Crackers, salty
  • 4 EL Parmesan, grated
  • 60 g Butter
  • 2 EL Parsley, chopped

Preparation (6 steps)

Chop the crackers

Place 28 crackers in the mixing bowl and chop for 10 sec./speed 8. Transfer and set aside.

Melt the butter

Place 60g butter in the mixing bowl and melt for 2 min./50°C/speed 1.

Prepare the crust

Add the crushed crackers and 4 tbsp grated Parmesan to the melted butter in the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec./speed 3. Transfer and set aside.

Cook cauliflower and macaroni

Thermomix® Setting
7-8 min/Varoma/Speed 1 Varoma

Place 1 medium cauliflower (quartered and core removed) and 300g macaroni in the simmering basket. Add 2 tbsp salt and 1 tsp olive oil to the mixing bowl, fill with 1200g water and insert the simmering basket. Cook for 7-8 min./Varoma/speed 1.

Mix the casserole

15 sec/Gentle stir speed

Remove 200 ml cooking water. Drain the cauliflower and macaroni and place in the mixing bowl. Add 200g Creme Fraiche, 200g grated Gruyère or Emmentaler, 50g grated Parmesan, 300g diced cooked ham, salt, pepper and nutmeg and mix for 15 sec./soft stir setting.

Bake the casserole

Pour the casserole mixture into a greased casserole dish, sprinkle with the prepared crust and bake in a preheated oven at 220°C top/bottom heat for approx. 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
