Description

This grilled chicken with West Indian spices is a real treat for the taste buds! I have been preparing this recipe for years and it always makes a splash at my summer barbecues. The marinade made with lime and mild spices gives the meat an exotic and slightly spicy flavor. The chicken is incredibly tender and juicy, perfect for a convivial meal with family or friends. Feel free to adjust the amount of chili according to your preferences. A real treat for lovers of spicy flavors!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 4 piece Chicken thighs
  • 33 cl Lemonade
  • 2 piece Lime(s)
  • 1 c. à café Mild chili powder
  • 1 c. à soupe Paprika powder
  • 1 c. à café Garlic powder
  • 1 pinch Salt

Preparation (6 steps)

Preparation of the limes

Cut the limes into slices on a cutting board. Set aside.

Preparation of the marinade

Pour the lemonade into a hollow container. Add the juice of a lime, 1 tsp of mild chili powder and 1 tsp of garlic powder. Add the lime slices.

Marinating the chicken

Dip the chicken thighs in the marinade. Cover and let stand in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.

Preparation of the spices

In a small bowl, mix 1 tsp of chili powder and 1 tbsp of paprika.

Spicing the chicken

Lightly sprinkle the chicken thighs with the chili and paprika mixture.

Cooking the chicken on the barbecue

Cook the chicken thighs on the barbecue for about 15 minutes, turning them regularly to ensure that each side is cooked. Check that the chicken is cooked through before serving.
