Description

A hearty and flavorful classic goulash recipe.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 1 kg Beef (from the leg)
  • 1 kg Onions
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 piece Bell pepper
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp Paprika powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin, ground
  • 1 tsp Marjoram, dried
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper
  • 500 ml Beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Flour

Preparation (8 steps)

Chop onions

Peel and quarter the onions and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec./level 5.

Sauté onions

Add oil to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Add bell pepper and tomato paste

Clean the bell pepper, cut into coarse pieces and add to the mixing bowl together with the tomato paste. Chop for 5 sec./level 4.

Add spices

Add paprika powder, cumin, marjoram, salt and pepper to the mixing bowl. Stir for 10 sec./level 3.

Sear meat

Sear the meat in batches in a separate pan and then add to the mixing bowl.

Deglaze with broth and simmer

Add beef broth to the mixing bowl. Simmer for 90 min./100°C/Reverse rotation level 1. Leave the measuring cup on.

Thicken sauce

10 min/212°F/Speed 2 212°F

Mix the flour with a little cold water and add to the mixing bowl. Cook for 10 min./100°C/level 2 without reverse rotation.

Season and serve

Season the goulash with salt and pepper and serve.
