Description

This gyros gratin is a hearty main course, ideal for a quick lunch or dinner. The gyros is fried in a pan and combined with peppers, onions and mushrooms. A creamy sauce of crème fraîche and cream rounds off the dish. Baked with cheese, the casserole is a treat for the whole family. Preparation time approx. 40 minutes, sufficient for 4 servings.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 500 g Gyros
  • 3 EL Oil
  • 1 Stück Red pepper
  • 1 Stück Spanish onion
  • 2 kl. Canned mushrooms
  • 1 Stück Creme fraiche
  • 0.5 Stück Cup of cream
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 250 g Cheese

Preparation (6 steps)

Fry gyros

Fry 500 g of gyros in a separate pan with 3 tbsp of oil until crispy and then place in a baking dish.

Prepare vegetables

Cut 1 red pepper and 1 Spanish onion into thin slices using the Wundermix WunderSlicer V2. Place the WunderSlicer V2 on the mixing bowl lid and select the thin slice.

Sauté vegetables

Sauté the sliced peppers and onions together with 2 small cans of mushrooms.

Prepare sauce

Put 1 crème fraîche and 1/2 cup of cream into the mixing bowl and simmer for 5 min./90°C/speed 2.

Season sauce

Season the sauce with salt and pepper and pour over the gyros in the baking dish.

Add cheese and bake

Sprinkle 250 g of cheese (grated) over the sauce and bake in the preheated oven at 200°C for 15 minutes.
